“Life without liberty is a body without spirit”

The 77th Independence Day was celebrated with fervour and respect at Adamas World School. A patriotic programme was organised in the school assembly hall where the students participated with great enthusiasm paying their tribute to our national heroes. The occasion was graced by Mr. Gobind S Moorjani, honourable Principal, Adamas World School, Dr. Nandini Chattopadhyay, Vice Principal and Mrs. Debarati Dey Banerjee, Junior Incharge.

The spirit of patriotism was instilled through a plethora of musical, recital and dance performances of the students.The tiny tots danced to the tune of Nanha Munna Rahi hun,  the melodious ensemble enchanted the audience with their soulful rendition arousing patriotic sentiments.  It was followed by the spirited dance presentation glorifying the sacrifices and indomitable spirit of the martyrs during the freedom movement.

The programme culminated with inspiring and thought provoking speech by Mrs. Debarati Dey Banerjee, Junior School Incharge of Adamas World School. The students were encouraged to be  responsible citizens, pay  due respect to the nation and uphold its honour.

Apart from the cultural programme, the students of Toddlers to XII participated in the Flag Making Activity. The spontaneous participation of the students was praiseworthy. The day ended with the chocolates being distributed to the students.

It was indeed a fun filled day where values of patriotism, love and respect for the country were ingrained in the future leaders and citizens of the nation.
