Adamas World School celebrated Van Mahotsav in the premises with great promp and joy. The day started with the middle school and senior school taking a lead in the Vanmahotsav Rally. Different slogans, posters and exhibits were showcased by the children of classes 6 -12 in this rally.
Messages like- ‘Need to plant more trees and its socio economic effects, Thank you – The Almighty for blessing us with the green world’ , ‘Hazardous issues created due to deforestation’ and ‘How to make the planet a better place for all of us and generations to come’ are to name a few.
This was followed by the planting of the saplings in the school ground by the Head of the Institution and his team. Students were enthralled be a part of this environmental awareness.
Students of Class 3, 4 and 5 too believes that: “He who plants a tree, plants hope”. The melodious choir along with the team of sprightly dancers and other well dressed up characters from the animal kingdom paid respect to the Mighty Creator and Mother Earth through their performance.
The curiosity to learn and the will to change were clearly visible among the budding souls of Adamas World School. This year the vulnerable students of Toddlers and Nursery, guided by the teachers, participated in an astounding dramatisation and role play based on the same theme. Their enactment and colourful props of the story telling session on environment stole our hearts away.
With similar enthusiasm and fervour, the children of classes I and II participated in creative writing activity to develop awareness on this festival of planting trees.
The various activities held in school surely helped to instill the value of social responsibility in the future citizen of the nation.
